After been an educator for 28 years ,I decided to follow my passion for construction and with a lack of woman in this sector and the I decided to start my own company.
I have now have been in the industry since 2002. Seeing a building or a road come to fruition because of my work is what keeps me going and want to learn and grow more in the industry.
The challenges that we face as a SME, are lack of finance and clients paying on time.
My entrepreneurial role models are my father and grandfather and also all the people who have a passion for their business and continue to persevere no matter what challenges they face.

I would like to assist people in being able to build sustainable houses instead of the corrugated structures they find themselves in which in the past have been proven not to be safe. Too many times we hear in the news that someone’s house has burnt down due to shack fires. We should aim to have people staying in safe houses.
I would also like to teach people how to take care of what they already have and also build on what they have. It’s better to teach people how to be self-sustainable rather than always having things done for them. This teaches them independence and in the long run skill sharing.
I do believe that in today's digital environment you need a strong web presence to be competitive. We currently try to use our website for tendering processes but it is old and does not have any of the functionality needed to help drive our business forward, so we are still really using and word of mouth to market our business.
I would love to find the right Mentor that could share their knowledge and help educate me in certain aspects, so that I can grow my company and offer more employment opportunities with in my community.
